Phillips |
Phillips signed a letter of intent to play at ISU, after playing at Iowa Western Community College. Previously, Phillips played at Allen County Community College and was named the Jayhawk East Freshman of the Year and was the only freshman named to the All-Region VI 1st team. He averaged 17.2 ppg while shooting 48.3% from downtown and 54.5% overall from the field along with dishing out over 3 apg for the Red Devils. As Sophomore for the Reivers, he was an all-Region XI selection, Phillips averaged 17.3 points per game last season while leading Iowa Western to a 28-5 record and No. 11 ranking in the final national junior college poll. Of his 191 made field goals, 109 were from three-point range. Phillips also shot 80 percent from the free throw line and dished out 3.8 assists, averaged 3.0 rebounds and tallied 1.9 steals per contest. Lloyd played in Washington, DC’s famed public league at Friendly HS where he helped lead the Patriots to two state titles his junior and senior seasons. |
