Burras plans on majoring in communications, and said he felt that Illinois State was the right choice.

Leo coach Jerry Tokarz couldn't have been happier with his 6'5" star and co-captain, Burras. "He causes a concern for the other teams,. The averages are about the same this year as last because he didn't have to deal with as many double teams from a year ago. I had some great players that went on to play pro ball and he would rank up with them Whoever gets him will be pleased with his rebounding strength and scoring in side with his workmanship."

Bullseye recruiting service says - "Chris Burras can make an immediate impact. He is more of an undersized 4 at 6'5, but he is strong, pounds the boards and has excellent scoring and post skills. Offensively, he can step out and hit the mid-range jumper. The issue is if he can defend the three. He is an excellent interior defender, though, so maybe he can play the three offensively and the four defensively. Illinois State can certainly land Burras."

TheInsidersHoops.com says - "Chris Burras, SF, Illinois Fire This kid is a worker. He's 6-5 but seemingly loves to make things happen on the blocks where he's comfortable posting up. He's athletic enough to go off the dribble, loves to rebound and finds a way to score via hustle."
