Chamberlain Oguchi has transferred from the University of Oregon, to ISU. He will have only 1 year of eligibility after sitting out the upcoming season. 

In high school he was rated as the nation’s 74th-best player by Rivals. That service also ranked him as the No. 16 shooting guard. He was a first team all-district and a second team all-region selection his senior season at George W. Bush High School. Chamberlain averaged 20 points and 6 rebounds per game as his team finished 20-12. He scored 24.3 points per game as a junior and hit 124 three-point baskets.

At Oregon he played in 22 games as a freshman. He averaged 5.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game, sixth on the team in scoring. He shot 74.1 percent from the free throw line (20-of-27). He had a season-high 13 points in home overtime loss to Washington. As a sophomore he made a team-best 68 three-pointers, and was named to the Pac-10 all-tournament team after hitting a tourney record 14 three-pointers (6 versus Washington State and Washington, and 2 against California), and ranked fifth in the Pac-10 in averaging 2.1 threes per game. He played in 32 games and started 10, and was third on the team in scoring at 9.6 points per game, while also grabbing 2.3 rebounds per game. Was second on the squad in 3-point percentage (.360) and fourth in free throw percentage (.792). Hit career-best six threes five different times. Nine of his 13 double figure scoring games came in the team’s last 10 contests. In his junior year he appeared in 32 games and started 10 games. He had 6 double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 25 points against Cal-Irvine. He sprained his left ankle in a 57-50 upset over No. 18 Georgetown, forcing him to miss the next five games, and did not start after that.
