Baboucarr Bojang, a 6-9, 205-pound forward from SMS-West Plains Community College has signed a national basketball letter of intent with Illinois State. He will have two years of eligibility with the Redbirds.

Bojang averaged 15.4 points and 10.2 rebounds at West Plains this season. Those numbers ranked No. 7 and No. 1, respectively, in Region XIV. He shot 45.7% from the field and 68.0% from the line, while blocking 122 shots and making 61 steals.

West Plains was 26-4 overall, 8-2 against regional competition and was ranked No. 8 in the final NJCAA poll.

Bojang recorded the top three rebounding games in West Plains history, including a best of 21. He ranks No. 1 at the school with an average of 8.86 rebounds for a career.
