The Redbirds filled their final scholarship with the signing of 6' 7" forward Anthony Slack from Coffeeville Community College. Slack was a teammate of Boo Richardson who also signed with the Redbirds. Slack averaged 11.6 points and 9 rebounds per game for the Ravens while recording 55 steals and 93 blocked shots on the season. The Ravens finished in seventh-place at the National Junior College Tournament. He finished the event as a member of the all-tournament team after averaging a tournament-best 11 rebounds per game and 21.5 points per game. He also received All-Jayhawk Conference and All-Region VI honors. Slack holds his high schools record for blocks in a game with 18. Slack was also recruited by Bradley, Creighton, Missouri State, TCU, Georgia and UNLV. |
