Upstate came out shooting fantastically from behind the arc and raced out to a 19 point half time lead. ISU had 15 turnovers in an uninspiring first half performance. The only bright spot was the play of PJ Smith who scored 10 points in the half. ISU played much better in the second half outscoring the All Stars by 16 in the second half but it wasn't enough as ISU lost 77-74. L Dee Murdock paced the team with 20 points, adding 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Smith finished with a double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tarise Bryson finished with 18 points after scoring only 4 in the first half. As a team ISU had only 8 assists on the night but out rebounded their opponent for the second straight game, 45-32. ISU regained the services of Ryan Crowley and Ishmael Joyce, sprained thumb and deep thigh bruise respectively, tonight but were without Chad Mazanowski who suffered a high ankle sprain. |
