![]() ![]() ![]() ISU at Bradley February 10th Bradley got off to a quick start leading 17-8 seven minutes into the game. But an 11-2 run by the Redbirds knotted the score at 19. Bradley pulled ahead, 30-26 on a three by Rob Dye. Shortly after, Kyle Cartmill put the Birds on top for the first time, 32-30 with a three pointer with 4:34 to go in the half. Back to back threes by Cartmill highlighted another 11-2 run to finish out the half with the Birds up 37-32. The Birds started the second half strong on a traditional 3 point play by Ryan Crowley. But BU went on a 10-0 run to take a 42-40 lead. ISU regained the lead and held until late in the game. With 55 seconds to go in the game LeRoy Watkins fouled out of the game with the Birds ahead by 2. Bradley scored the next 4 to take a 59-57 lead and stole the ball with about 15 seconds to go. But Eric Roberson lost the ball out of bounds with 7 seconds to go. Shawn Jeppson brought the ball up quickly to 3/4 court and passed off to Tarise Bryson who faked a three then drove in and swished an 8 foot shot as time expired and sent the game into overtime. Bradley scored the first 7 points in OT but the Birds scraped back to a 2 point deficit. Then Sean Riley fouled out leaving ISU without it's 2 big men. The Birds kept fighting but Victor Williams was the third Redbird to foul out of the game. With 3 starters riding the bench ISU finished the game with Cartmill, Bryson, Jeppson, Crowley and Hein on the floor and only walk-on Chad Mazanowski the only available player left on the bench. Bradley held off the unussual lineup to win 74-70 in OT. Bryson paced the Birds with 22 points. Willians scored 11 and Watkins scored 10 and blocked 4 shots to come within 1 block of being ISU's all time leading shot blocker.
