The game stayed close in the first half with Western Kentucky taking a 5 point, 25-20 lead into the locker room as neither team good get rolling offensively.

The Hilltoppers scored the first 8 points of the second half to take a 13 point, 33-20 lead and never looked back. ISU got back within 10 points, 37-27, but the Hilltoppers outscored the Birds 26-16 to close out the game with a 20 point victory.

Gregg Alexander was the only Redbird to score in double digits, lead ISU with 18 points. Andy Strandmark had a game high 9 rebounds.
