The 16th best team in the nation, Creighton Blue Jays started the game by jumping to a 6-0 lead, however ISU answered with a 10-2 run to take a 10-8 lead with 12:46 left in the half. Kyle Korver stopped the run with a 3 pointer to give Creighton an 11-10 lead. ISU kept the game close but fell behind by 9, 31-22 with 3 minutes left in the half. They
stretched the lead to 10, 37-27, before Gregg Alexander hit a half court shot at the buzzer to get ISU back within 7, 37-30.
Creighton started the second half on an 11-3 run to take a commanding 48-33 lead. ISU could get no closer than 9 as the Blue Jays went on to a 74-55 victory.
Vince Greene paced ISU with 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals.
Marcus Arnold and Alexander added 13 points each. Creighton was led by Michael Lindeman with 19 points while Kyle Korver contributed 17.
