| Bradley started the game on a 10-0 run, but the Birds
quickly answered with a 16-2 run of their own fueled by 3 three point
baskets by Gregg Alexander,
as the Birds took a 16-12 lead with 13:02 left in the half. The Braves
answered with a 9-0 run to take a 21-16 lead. Marcus
Arnold scored the game's next 4 points to cut the deficit to 1 with
9:35 remaining. The teams forged a 24-24 tie, before Kevin
Troc nailed a 3 point shot to give ISU a 27-24 lead. The Braves
answered with another 3 to once again tie the game. There were 4 lead
changes over the next 3 minutes and the game was once again tie, 35-35,
with 58 seconds left in the half. Philip Gilbert scored with 33 second to
go to give the Braves a 2 point lead, but a Vince
Greene 3 pointer at the buzzer gave the birds a 38-37 halftime
advantage.
With 17:01 remaining, and the game was tied at 40, Greene nailed a
jumper in the lane to give ISU a lead the would never relinquish. With
12:46 left in the game the Birds stretched their lead to double digits on
a pair of free throws by Trey Guidry.
With the lead still standing at 12 with 4:37 left in the game the Birds
scored the next 5 on a pair of free throws by Casey
Reid and yet another 3 pointer by Alexander on a pass from Reid. Andy
Strandmark put an exclamation point on the victory at the 1:14 mark
with a powerful dunk off of a steal and assist by Greene giving ISU an
85-68 lead.
