| The Purple Aces jumped out to an early lead on ISU, but led
by no more than 3 before the Redbirds gained the lead midway through the
first half. Trey Guidry came out
on fire and paced the Birds with 21 points in the half. A Guidry 3 pointer
with 2:06 remaining in the half was the final field goal of the half,
giving ISU a 39-32 lead. Evansville hit 2 free throws to cut the lead down
to 5, and Guidry nailed 2 charity tosses with seconds to go in the half
for a 41-34 halftime lead. Marcus

Alexander had 5.
After leading 47-40 in the second half, Evansville took the lead at the
11:45 mark, 51-49. Alexander answered with a 3 to stop a 9-0 run, but
Cuffle answered that with a 3 of his own to give the Aces the lead again. Boo
Bojang scored with 9:15 to go to get ISU within 3 before an 11-3 run
gave Evansville a 71-60 lead with 6:09 left in the game. ISU cut the deficit
to 6, 73-66, with a little more than 5 to go on a Chris Burras lay
up. But with 4:11 to go, ISU once again found themselves down by double
digits, 76-66. The Birds eventually fell 85-74.
