ISU got off to a slow start, falling behind 6-0. Baboucarr Bojang got ISU on the scoreboard with a jump shot at the 17:08 mark. With 16:05 remaining, Bojang scored again to make the score 9-4. Later, down 11-6, Shawn Jeppson entered the game and drained a jumper on his first touch, to cut the deficit to 3. ISU got within 1 point, 13-12, as Bojang scored his 8th point of the game. After a UTC score, Bojang once again got ISU within 1, but they scored the next 5 points to take a 20-14 lead. Bojang got ISU back within 4, but could get no closer as UTC finished the half strong to take a 36-26 lead into the half. Bojang led all scorers with 16 for the half. Jeppson added 6 off the bench and scored ISU's final 4 points of the half. 

The Mocs outscored the Birds 10-4 to start the half to take a16 point lead. ISU fell behind by 17 and couldn't get back under a double digit deficit until a Randy Rice 3 with 1:12 remaining made the score 64-55. The Mocs went on to win 70-59.

Bojang finished the game with a career high 26 points.
